I really enjoy going through my work over the past year and culling my favorites. It allows me to take a fresh look at my work and identify themes and connections that I might not have noticed or initially intended. It also allows me to review and take stock of all of the events that have occurred. As I've discussed before, my photo archive acts as a journal. It fills my memory with the emotion that I was experiencing as took the photos, and it reminds me of the events happening in the periphery of the photos. This dive into my archives is not always easy, but it's necessary. I feel fortunate that, as I look back at 2017, I had a pretty good year. I had some incredible opportunities, made some new friends, and I grew as a person and a photographer. I look to build on these experiences in 2018, and I'm excited for it's potential. Below are some of my personal favorite photographs from the past year. Thanks for your support, especially in 2017, and best wishes in 2018. Cheers!
