THE FUTURE IS CERTAIN
2017-2020The links between these photographs were not necessarily intended when they were made, but they became apparent in retrospect through the lens of an altered world. As the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe and drastically disrupted daily life, the observations of the repetitive reliability of our physical environment became apparent - or at least appreciated - throughout this series of photographs. There is comfort in familiarity, and in seemingly chaotic times, the regularity of the law of nature can highlight an underlying order in the world. The sun will rise tomorrow, and time will continue to pass. The future is certain.
