About

Jared Bramblett is a photographer and engineer based in Charleston, South Carolina. His work explores the seams where natural and constructed environments meet—documenting how we build upon, adapt to, and coexist with the landscapes we inhabit.

Trained as an engineer specializing in water resources and flood resilience, Bramblett approaches photography with an observational rigor informed by his technical work. His images examine infrastructure, weather, coastlines, and the quiet negotiations between human systems and natural forces.

In 2020, he launched Mean High Water, an ongoing documentation of sea level rise and flooding in the South Carolina Lowcountry. His work has been featured in The Bitter Southerner, Garden & Gun, Burnaway, Charleston Magazine, and Southern Cultures, and he has spoken about Imagining Our Future with Water at TEDxCharleston.
